The
temperature is moderate all year long, ranging from the mid to upper
80's. A constant sea breeze, which sweeps over the island, helps to
maintain the temperature. In days of calm winds, the temperature can
easily climb into the 90's. The island is subject to weather patterns
and cloud formation as air rises over mountains.
The driest seasons are actually winter and spring. Late summer and
early autumn time periods are subject to occasional showers with average
annual rainfall of 45 inches and the brief showers are typically followed
by sunshine.
